We were assigned to take general form and add two characteristics to it which would change the form of the shape, in squares 2 and 3 we added 2 different terms to each square and then in square 4 in was a combination of square 2 and 3. Square 5 was square 2 but with another 2 terms added and square 6 was square 3 with another 2 terms added. Square 7 was the combination of 4 and 5 and square 8 was the combination of 6 and 4. Therefore square 9 was the combination of 7 and 8 making it the most complex shape. Please refer to Figures 1, 2, 3 and 4.

I then had to make a plan view, section and elevations of the chosen square 9. See Figure 5.

Pythagoras Research
1. Pythagoras Early Life & Family
Pythagoras was born in 570 BCE in a small island just outside of Greece in Samos he was known as a Greek philosopher, mathematician and the founder of the Pythagorean brotherhood while studying poetry. He emigrated in 532BCE to south Italy to escape Samos’s rule and decided to overrule this by creating his own political academy in Crotone Italy. Although today we accredit Pythagoras for his theorem he was not the creator of it, it was found in the year 1900-1600BCE on Babylonian tablets in Circa which indicated some knowledge of the theorem which Pythagoras then went on expanding. Pythagoras later went to Egypt to study with priests in the temple. Mnesarchus his father was a gem merchant and Pythias was his mother, growing up with two or three siblings. He was then later married to Theano however, some may describe his wife as more of a disciple. They had three daughters and 1 son.

2. His Belief & Culture/Religion
Pythagoreanism originated in the 6th century BC, based on the teachings and beliefs held by Pythagoras and his followers, the Pythagoreans.
Pythagoras Led a cult called the Pythagoreans which was a religion based on the study and worship of numbers. The number 10 was to be seen as the most powerful number. They also focus on Music and Astronomy.
Pythagoras claimed to be associated with the superior god "Apollo" He claimed he believes in reincarnation and that Pythagoras believed he recalls everything in his previous Reincarnation which is why he knew more then everyone and therefore thought he was better.
Some rules that Pythagoras put in place were to not talk about the holy one. Wear white clothing, observe sexual purity, do not touch beans.
He taught the purification of the soul through music and mental activity later know as philosophy.
Pythagoras also believed in the harmony of the cosmos for example 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 = 10 or a perfect triangle. The cosmos refers to the Earth Wind Fire Water which refers to the first 4 numbers 1 (Existence), 2(Creation), 3(Life) and 4(Earthm Air, Fire, Water. hence including these elements in conjunction causes perfect harmony.

3.Similarities and differences between Dionysis and Pythagoras
Pythagoras:
- Religious mathematical cult
- Greek philosopher
- Mathematician
- Religious in nature
- His father was a merchant.
- Paranoid
- The Pythagoreans were vegetarians
- Believed in the incarnation of souls
- Believed humans would never live in harmony if they kept killing the animals to eat
- Stage fright
- Direct and got to the point

- Secretive
- Made enemies
- Musical sounds could be translated into mathematical equations and ratios.
a secretive religious group devoted to the mystical worshipping of the gods.
divided into an outer circle of 'listeners' and an inner circle of 'learners. Only those in the inner circle had access to the deepest secrets of Pythagoras' teachings.
- Pythagoreans had no power over their enemies
- Lived in Egypt for 22 years
Similarities:
Both had their own cult
Both had enemies
Present with their followers/cult.
group devoted to the mystical worshipping of the gods. (religious in nature)
Dionysus was immortal and it is believed that Pythagoras had supernatural gifts such as the ability to talk to animals, to remember previous lives he had lived as other people, to predict earthquakes, to stop the wind blowing and hail from falling, and to calm the sea’s waves.
Dionysis had the power to resurrect people from the dead and pythaoras belived in the reincarnation of the soul.
differences:
The Pythagoreans were vegetarians and Dionysus and his followers killed animals and ate them if they came upon them.
Pythagoreans had no power over their enemies and Dionysus did.

The final poster was the most modern in todays age and thought best suited our legend while still addressing the brief. The poster was the most eye catching and thought that was critical for the success of the poster.
